SERO Innovation Sailboat Limited Warranty

SERO Innovation is committed to stand behind our products with the highest level of support, working closely with each customer to ensure our products meet expectations when used as intended. While every sailor will treat their boat with the utmost respect, accidents and issues beyond our control may arise. SERO will make every effort to address any concerns, and if a situation falls under the limitations or exclusions of this policy, we will always do our best to assist.

Our products reflect a dedication to design, engineering excellence, and quality manufacturing. With proper care and maintenance, your SERO Innovation sailboat is built to last for many years.

Limited Warranty Policy

SERO Innovation (SERO) warrants, under this limited warranty, the sailboat hull and other items supplied with a new sailboat hull manufactured by SERO to be free from any manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship when used under normal conditions and not excluded by the limitations below.

 

Any defective product within the limited warranty period will be repaired or replaced at the discretion of SERO.

Limited Warranty claims are subject to prior authorization by SERO, and all decisions regarding limited warranty claims are the sole responsibility of SERO.

 

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER, AND IS INTENDED TO EXCLUDE, ANY LIABILITY ON THE PART OF SERO WHETHER UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY OR UNDER ANY WARRANTY IMPLIED BY LAW, FOR ANY INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR BREACH HEREOF OR THEREOF.

 

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS GIVEN IN ADDITION TO AND DOES NOT AFFECT YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS.

 

SERO reserves the right to update products over time, with no obligation to apply such changes to products already built or in use.

 

Limited Warranty Term

1.      Limited Warranty term commences on the date of purchase.

2.      Term length is one (1) year applicable to components manufactured by SERO.

3.      Extension to five (5) with registration within 30 days of purchase.

 

Exclusions and Limitations

1.      Normal wear and tear.

2.      Improper use of products may include but not limited to contact with objects other than water, overloading, land demonstrations and use, improper transport, and similar.

3.      Damage caused by accidents, vandalism, abuse, misuse, neglect, or carelessness.

4.      Modification or alteration of product in any way, including installation of aftermarket products without prior written authorization from SERO.

5.      Damage caused by environmental conditions or acts of nature.

6.      Abrasion damage to the deck or hull of any boat product or other products.

7.      Repairs performed without prior written authorization from SERO.

8.      Products not manufactured by SERO including but not limited to hardware,   spars, and sails. The manufacturer’s warranty will apply to these products.

9.      Sailboats used for commercial purposes including but not limited to camps, schools, training, charters, etc. In these use cases the limited warranty will be restricted to 12 months from the date of purchase.

 

Limited Warranty Procedure

Please contact SERO directly to initiate your claim within 30 days of discovery.

·         Call us at (810)395-5447.

·         Provide the reason for the claim, proof of purchase, Hull Identification Number (HIN) and your contact information.

Limitation of Liability

Except as expressly provided in this limited warranty, SERO shall have no liability to the purchaser for any indirect, special, consequential or incidental loss or damage of any kind suffered or incurred by the purchaser, in any way, issue or arising, whether by breach or non-performance of any of its obligations under this Limited Warranty or the establishment, installation, performance, operation or use of the Goods.
